Soil Moisture Sensor
This soil moisture sensor measures and transmits moisture content of the soil wirelessly over the existing LoRaWAN network. The sensor is programmed to measure the moisture level of the soil every 15 minutes and transmit to Chirpstack server. Housed inside a 3D printed PLA enclosure that resembles a mushroom, this sensor has a capacitive dielectric sensor for measuring the water content in the soil. Applications of the sensor in agriculture includes irrigation automation, soil infiltration studies prior to farming, analysis of subsurface flow for terrain transformation planning & crop water requirement research.
